Redemption: A Love Story between a Daemon and an Angel, with various facets of characters, ranging from Satan to heralds of angels, and from pits of daemons to God Him or Her self.  Based in the days leading up to creation but after a multitude of Angels were cast from Heaven due to their jealousy, mainly instigated by Satan, also known as Lucifer and the Devil.

Day One

“1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  2. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.  5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.  And the evening and the morning were the first day.” (Genesis Chapter 1 verses 1-5)

And a being a sat above the waters, looking down into the depths of nothingness that twisted in purple, black, and blue hues, a writhing mass of nonsensical matter.  His face was ashen, a look of torment on an otherwise handsome visage, a chin chiselled from pure flint, hair grown out of the purest platinum, short against his scalp.  He was unclothed yet did not shiver or take heed of his nakedness.  His body was toned and muscular, he was tall and even though he was sat it would be easy to estimate his great height.  Despite this beauteous visage of a man, the one thing that stood out was his eyes that glistened with intense shades of polished jet.  Within these eyes were reflected the swirling contortions of the void beneath, which formed a connection that seemed to engulf the persona of the empty incarnation and the figure that sat atop.

Nothing is what I feel,
Nothing is what I have become.
My mind engulfed in chaos,
My anger has withdrawn.

I sit above a beginning,
I stare into the consuming void.
What made me turn from heaven?
What have I now become?

A voice above once herald,
The eternal life song of the stars.
A head succumbed to madness,
A mind now under siege.

No voice I now hear,
A land I see too far from me.
A simple yearning for an end,
An Eternal life of longing.

Man’s head rose from the matter and his eyes reflected instead a single light, pure in its intensity against the gulf of darkness within his irises.  The light slowly grew in size, and finally filled his eyes with pure white light.  The light source emanated from a single being.  He recognised the originating essence of the spirit, turned and retreated until it was once again only a glimmer of light mirrored in his eyes.  Now he stood and stared at the light source, as if longing for it to stay, but fear was eminent in his features.

From within the light stepped a figure with waist length wavy tresses of hair.  Each braid shone with the intensity of purest white gold, and was intersected with the occasional crimson prism of ruby.  The face of the being shone with the light of the emanation around it, shadows playing across the features, a mouth with scarlet lips that matched the qualities of the rubies in her hair, and a short upturned nose that led up to her elegant eyebrows.  Beneath the delicate brow shone two eyes, each like a perfect diamond with a ruby inlaid as an iris and a small perfect obsidian pupil.  The figure’s physique was slim, and their skin was a soft white, on which shade showed ample curves that gave the body a feminine shape.  Her long legs slowly walked across the firmament and left a line of light in her tracks.  She continued to walk gradually around the entire circumference of the void until she again met with the mass of light.  Once there she stood still and looked up into the darkness above, as if listening to a distant voice.  After a short moment she stepped into the light and disappeared from view.  From within the eternity of the universe a voice echoed across the darkness.

“LET THERE BE LIGHT”

As the last syllable resounded, the light poured in fluid-like motion from the circumference of the void, slowly extended its streams, and poured into oceans of light until it enveloped the void in its entirety.  The light then flashed and died away, but left a gentle glow that filled the universe.  Now the void was visible as a ball of slowly moving liquid against a backdrop of gentle blue light.

Man lay as a lone dark effigy on the revolving surface.  His face was screwed up in torment and he held his ears in agony as the voice, which he had long since left behind, echoed through his molecules and in the particles of light that surrounded him.  However, on his face grew a faint smile, a smile that shone through his pain and torment.  He stood up, turned slowly, and took in his new surroundings.

Regret the eternal dampener
A life without foresight
Being without a mind to see
My suppression of feeling
Is now becoming outcast,
Becoming unruly
And taking over all.

Well this is an extract from my dissertation, a long piece that is made up of prose and poetry.

It follows creation, in a round about way...

ok SO let me see if I am following. The man fell from heaven because God had created him? Light appeared from within the man. Light is a woman.

Beautifully written. I love it.

Erm, no.
You find out about the story to man later on, basically he is an angel cast from heaven when satan rebelled against god.
The light i think is like the metatron(the word of god) the woman is an angel that is gods instrument in creating the world, basically its a series of the days of creation as put in motion by god.

Thankyou for your kind words.
